MUSEM BALI a. History of Museum Bali With thw fall of Klungkung Kingdom into the hands of the Netherlands on 28th of April 1908 indicated that Bali as a whole was under the Dutch colonial rule. This situation certainly generated governace changes, such as, Bali which was initially close to outside nations became more open, mainly to European countries, especially the Dutch. This openess had provided increasing opportunities for other foreign nations to come to Bali. Foreign nations consisting of various segments of societies such as traders , goverment officials, tourists and forth surely had different interest in accordance with their professions. And then when they returned back to their countries, they condition, if it is left in such away, would lead to the improverishment of Balinese cultural haritage which the Dutch scientists, humanists, and artists tried to prevent and at the same time in preserve the culture of Bali.
